An independent physical security consultant works for the owner, not the integrator or the vendor. No equipment sales, no preferred platform relationships. The design recommendation reflects what the facility actually needs. That is different from what an integrator earning margin on equipment and installation will recommend.
Knowing how Genetec Security Center behaves at scale, where C-CURE 9000 deployments develop problems, what Axis devices need from the underlying network, and how Milestone performs under load comes from years of direct work with these systems at airports, law enforcement facilities, and large enterprise campuses. Common issues include controllers with inadequate local storage for offline operation, access control on the same VLAN as general office traffic, and credential technology choices already being deprecated. A design review before procurement is faster and cheaper than remediation after go-live.
